Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- 2 cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and all the spices) except sugar and mix.
- In a separate bowl, add sugar, eggs, vanilla and buttermilk and mix well.
- Add the pumpkin and mix.
- And the flour mixture and mix well.
- Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour or when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely.
- Finish off with icing sugar glaze.
- Enjoy.
This bread looks delicious! So moist. I would love a slice with a cup of soup.
