
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup of mahangu flour
- 1/3 cup of cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup of butter, melted
- 1 cup of oshikandela cultured milk, plain
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence (optional)
Directions
- Place a cast iron skillet in the oven and preheat to 180°C.
- Mix all the dry ingredients and set aside.
- Mix oshikandela cultured milk and milk and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla essence until airy.
- Add butter and the milk mixture and mix gently.
- Fold in the flour mixture.
- Melt a tablespoon of butter in the skillet.
- Pour in the batter and bake to 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely.
- Enjoy.
