
Ingredients
- 3 cups of bread flour
- ½ packet of yeast
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- ⅔ cup lukewarm milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Directions
- In a bowl of a stand mixer or by hand, add flour and mix in the yeast and salt on the opposite sides of the bowl.
- In a jug, add water, milk and sugar and mix until the sugar has dissolved.
- Pour the liquid into the four mixture, add eggs and butter and mix until incorporated.
- Knead for 5-10 minutes until it forms a ball of dough and the bowl is clean.
- Coat the bowl and dough with oil, cover with cling wrap and a kitchen towel, place in a warm place and it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Knock out the air, place and spread out onto a work surface and with a rolling pin roll into a rectangle.
- Roll into a log to form the loaf.
- Place into a greased pan, cover with cling wrap and a kitchen towel and let it rise for another hour.
- Bake in a 180°C preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool slightly in the pan.
- Brush the top with melted butter.(optional)
- Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Enjoy.
